Dear July, you’ve been an eventful one… We’ve expanded the Exo team with Jess (Brand & Customer Success Associate) and James (Senior Design Consultant) this month. We went to a Design Sprint event together. Mirella went on holiday to Europe. We’ve been pumping out videos almost every week. It was weirdly cold on some days. The list goes on… But despite the organised chaos, we had time to reflect on our favourites for the month of July!

Rob’s favourite of the month: Extreme Ownership

“What I learnt was that there are no bad teams, only bad leaders… The book leaves you with a total mind-shift in how leadership is put to the test which can transform and save lives on the battleground.”

Description: In Extreme Ownership, Jocko Willink and Leif Babin share hard-hitting, Navy SEAL combat stories that translate into lessons for business and life. Jocko and Leif served together in SEAL Task Unit Bruiser, the most highly decorated Special Operations unit from the war in Iraq.

Jon’s favourite of the month: Blinkist

“An absolute game changer… Something that I’ve been doing for years is now accessible in this app.”

Description: Blinkist is an iOS and android app that lets you read the key lessons from 3000+ nonfiction books in 15 min or less.

Z’s favourite of the month: Flipboard

“Everything I need is in one place! It’s become my go-to app to keep updated on current trends and news”

Description: Flipboard aggregates content from social media, news feeds, photo sharing sites and other websites, presents it in a magazine format, and allows users to "flip" through the articles, images and videos being shared.

Jess’s favourite of the month: Bring Me Home

“This app is so brilliant in contributing to reducing food wastage in the hospitality industry and directing it into hungry mouths at an appealing price. Two birds, one app!”

Description: Bring Me Home is an app that lets you buy and pick up discounted surplus food from nearby cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and groceries/supermarkets.
